South Auckland’s Brent West put down his metal guitar riffs and hardcore screaming nearly a decade ago but he is now establishing himself as a solo singer/songwriter writing songs, playing shows and recording new songs.

Brent now plays acoustic guitar and harmonica as his main instruments but also uses, ukulele and banjolele (yeah, it’s a thing).

Main influences for Brent’s songs have been City and Colour, Neil Young, Cool Hand Luke, Iron and Wine and Johnny Cash.
